We provide bookkeeping services in the southern Florida but have several clients all over the United States for whom we provide virtual bookkeeping services using a hosted solution.
You mention that “The accountant or bookkeeper can conveniently access DocSnaps remotely.” Does this mean that bookkeepers have separate accounts to access this data? How does it work? What do I get out of this as a bookkeeper?

DocSnaps allows accountants and bookkeepers to access all their client companies through one login.
If the company already has an account on DocSnaps they just need to grant you access. You will get an email informing you that you have been given access to a new company, after which you will see it in the drop-down of all your client companies when you login.
As a bookkeeper you cllient companies don’t have to bring in their files and financial documents to your office. They simply email, eFax, snap up (with camera phone), or scan and upload their documents into their DocSnaps account. You will get notified when this happens.
At the same time transactions will be created for all the uploaded documents.
When you login you can review all these transactions, do other bookkeeping work like AP, AR, Bank reconciliation, and other high level work.
If you need to communicate with the client you can enter your messages within the context of a scanned document, invoice, expense, report etc. and your client gets notified and can respond to that.
Overall DocSnaps allows you to get rid of inefficiencies surrounding paper. It helps you get organized, save time, money, and look professional.
