One of the biggest problems the USA faces right now is that neither legislators nor voters understand the trade-offs of living in a global economy; they don&#039;t understand that having very smart people doing exciting things are the &quot;shop floor&quot; of the Knowledge Economy, and having as many in the &quot;States as possible CREATES jobs. If Americans complain, let them work as hard as others; no one is owed anything and deserves nothing except what s/he produces of merit.
